Our most popular product, Prairie Plugs^TM, have a 2 1/4" top diameter and measure approximately 4 1/2" deep. Grooves running lengthwise channel the roots to the open bottom of the pot where they are air pruned. This avoids root circling and stimulates lateral branching of the root system. Even tap rooted species develop more root tips, resulting in faster establishment when planted out in the landscape.
