Establishing a Buffalo Grass turf from seed is a slow and often frustrating task. One solution is to use plants on 8 inch centers. This has given excellent stands in one growing season.
We grow a 2 inch x 2 inch plug, 50 per tray, on contract only. The nature of Buffalo Grass is to send out stolons after the mother plant has become established. This very effective mode of establishment makes these plants hard to hold for any extended length of time after they fill out the container. Call for specific information on lead time needed.
